Building bus bodies since 1935

The story of the company began in 1935, when a group of local bus operators together with a specialist in bus body building decided to form an own body shop for bus construction. In February 1936 Autokori Oy – Turku was officially founded. Since then the company has been known as Delta Plan Oy, Carrus Oy and furthermore Volvo Bus Finland Oy.

In 2008 the company operations were transferred back to Finnish ownership and the name was changed to Carrus Delta Oy. All the owners have a strong background with the company and a long experience in the industry. Today Carrus Delta Oy is the leading coach body manufacturer in Scandinavia. We work in co-operation with Volvo Bussar Ab. The comprehensive network of Volvo takes care of sales and after sales.

The manufacturing capacity of our company is about 150 coaches per year and our manufacturing lines cover intercity buses and coaches. The coaches are manufactured by 200 experienced bus body builders. Because of our own design and product development we offer an extensive range of customer adaptations. We design and manufacture special coaches such as VIP- and ambulance buses. Customer-orientation and quality are at the core of our company culture and has been ever since the company was established more than 85 years ago.
